Potential sightings of a missing Fenwick man are being investigated by police.

Jackson Mason was last seen between 4pm and 4.30pm on Saturday 19th December, walking near the Fenwick Hotel.

The 31-year-old is black, 6ft tall, medium build, with dark-brown hair and a beard. When he was last seen he was wearing grey shorts, a shiny black bubble jacket and white trainers.

Chief Inspector Nathan Calderwood of Ayrshire Police Division said, “Despite extensive searches and enquiries, we have not yet traced Jackson and there have been no confirmed sightings of him since Saturday, 19 December.

“We are extremely concerned for his wellbeing and safety. It is completely out of character for him not to keep in very regular contact with his family, and his disappearance has left them extremely upset.

“The public have been keen to help with this missing person enquiry and we have now received calls about a man seen wearing similar clothing to Jackson’s.

These sightings took place between 3pm and 4pm on Monday, 21 December at the junction of Sutherland Drive and Grassyards Road in the New Farm Loch area of Kilmarnock.

“Although these could potentially be sightings of Jackson, we are working to identify this man. If anyone has more information or indeed if this was you, I would ask for you to come forward and assist us in our enquiries.

“Jackson isn’t known to travel outside the Fenwick or Kilmarnock areas and local officers have been assisted by specialist officers in the search for Jackson. A significant amount of CCTV footage from the local area has also been viewed to try and trace him.

“We'd also appeal directly to Jackson himself to get in touch with us or his family to let us know he is safe and well.

It comes as Jackon's uncle, Allan Parris, offers a cash reward for information on his whereabouts or leads to his safe return home.

The public can contact Police Scotland through 101 quoting reference number 0662 of 20 December.
