Police hunt three men who raided house in Ayr armed with weapons
It happened in the Dalmilling area of the town on Monday 22 January.

An investigation is underway after three men armed with weapons raided a house in Ayr.
Around 9.30pm on Monday 22 January, the trio forced their way into a property on Thornyflat Place in the Dalmilling area of the town and threatened a 21 year-old woman with weapons and violence before taking car keys and ransacking the house.
Officers believe the men arrived in a dark coloured Audi car, however made off in the woman’s red VW Golf which has a private registration and a performance body kit.
There have been several possible sightings of the vehicle since, around 11.10pm at the Bellfield Interchange BP petrol station, near Kilmarnock and again on Rothes Drive, Glasgow at 1.20am on Tuesday 23 January 2018.
The first suspect is described as white, 5ft 7, of medium build and was wearing dark clothing.
The second suspect is white, 5ft 7, of medium build, had missing teeth, thin face. He was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit style top which had a zip and a hood.
The third suspect is white, 6ft 1, of slim build, dark hair, a gaunt appearance and was wearing a white jacket.
Officers have been checking CCTV and are speaking to local residents in the area however are now looking to the public and the media to help trace those responsible.
Detective Inspector Fraser Normansell, Ayr CID, said: “Although nobody was injured, the incident has left the woman incredibly shaken and fearful.
“We believe it was a targeted attack. It is vital that we can gather as much information as possible to trace those responsible.
“We have had several sightings of the VW Golf since the incident in Ayr, Kilmarnock and possibly Glasgow and would appeal to anyone who has seen a vehicle matching the description driving erratically late last night or early this morning to come forward and contact us.”
