Police charge five men in connection with serious incident of disorder in Kilmarnock
It was after August's Premiership match between Kilmarnock and Motherwell FC
Five males have been arrested and charged in connection with an incident of serious disorder after a football match in Kilmarnock.
The men were detained following the Premiership match between Kilmarnock and Motherwell FC on Saturday, August 27th.
A 15-year-old male was also cautioned and charged.
It was during a day of action involving officers from both Ayrshire and Lanarkshire divisions.
The five men have been released and are due to appear in court at a later date.
Inspector Iain Farmer, Ayrshire Division, said, “Police Scotland has a zero tolerance approach to football-associated violence and we take all reports extremely seriously. We will continue to work closely with the clubs to ensure the safety of everyone attending any fixtures.”
