34 year-old man rushed to hospital after assault in Ayrshire

Police are appealing for information following a ‘disturbance’ in Ayrshire, which left a man injured in hospital.

Police are hoping potential witnesses can come forward to assist them with their enquiries regarding the assault in Irvine.

The incident occurred on Saturday 4 March between 11pm and midnight at Warrix Avenue, Irvine.

A 34-year-old man was taken to Crosshouse hospital in Kilmarnock, as a result of the assault.

Officers in North Ayrshire are looking for people who were in or around the area to come forward, but they’ve released no information of the suspect.

Detective Constable Sandy McBreen of CID said : “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed a disturbance in Warrix Avenue late on Saturday evening to get in touch".

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 0010 of 5 March, 2023.”
