A petition has been launched to save Catrine Games Hall from being closing down.

East Ayrshire Leisure is considering closing the facility or transferring ownership in a bid to save money.

The campaign has been started by dance teacher, Kirsty Graham, who runs the KG Star dance school.

She uses the hall twice a week for classes attended by a number of local children.

But in her research, the 26 year-old discovered the facility is visited more than 20,000 times a year in a village which only has just over 2,000 people.

She told West FM news more...

The petition gathered more than 300 signatures in just a few hours of going live.

You'll find more information and details on how to sign the petition here.
