Pensioner Dies After Crash In Troon
A man has died after being struck by a car in Troon on Sunday 8 November 2015.
Around 2010 hrs on Sunday 8 November a 71-year-old man was struck by a silver Land Rover Freelander car as he crossed the southbound carriageway of Bentinck Drive at its junction with Yorke Road in Troon.
Emergency services attended and the man was taken by ambulance to Ayr hospital but died a short time after admission.
The 67-year old female driver was not injured.
A report will be sent to the procurator Fiscal.
Sergeant Ian Thornton at the Divisional Road Policing Unit in Irvine is continuing enquiries into the crash and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed it. He would also like to speak to anyone who had seen the man prior to the crash taking place.
