Pensioner critical in hospital after attack in Saltcoats
Police say they're treating the incident as attempted murder.
A man is in a critical condition in hospital following an incident which police are treating as attempted murder.
Emergency services were called to reports a man seriously injured in Green Street in Saltcoats around 7.30pm on Tuesday 21st November.
The 66 year-old was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as critical.
A statement from Police Scotland says, “The incident is being treated as attempted murder.
“Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Saltcoats CID via 101, quoting incident number 3242 of Tuesday 21st November 2017."
