North Ayrshire Council announces summer free lunches programme

A healthy lunch will be provided to eligible families and youngsters - of primary and secondary school age – throughout July

North Ayrshire Council has announced details of its programme of free lunches for young people during the summer break.

A healthy lunch will be provided to eligible families and youngsters - of primary and secondary school age – throughout July.

Families eligible for free school meals, based on low income, will also receive a direct cash payment for the entire summer holiday period, and these payments are made to parents and carers at the end of the current school term.

Volunteers from various community groups are assisting with this year’s programme.

Packed lunches can be collected at the following Council libraries and community venues:

  • Fullarton Community Association

Fullarton Hub, 1 School Lane, Irvine

Monday to Friday, noon to 1pm
