Motorcyclist who died in East Ayrshire crash named

A motorcyclist who died after a crash in East Ayrshire on Saturday has been named as Ian Sloan.

The accident happened on the A719 in Waterside to A77 Ayr Road at around 3.30pm on June 15, involving the motorbike and a silver Skoda Octavia.

The car’s male driver was uninjured, however four female passengers were taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment.

Mr Sloan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Road Policing Unit’s Seargeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Sloan at what is a very difficult time.

“Our enquiries remain ongoing, and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dash-cam footage and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.”
