Police Scotland is appealing for information to help trace a 20 year-old man missing from Cumbernauld. Ethan Brown was last seen leaving his home address in Greenfaulds around 7.25 am yesterday morning, Monday 12 November 2018.

He was reported missing by family when he did not return home that evening.

It was initially thought he was travelling from Greenfaulds Train Station to Paisley, however following enquiries police believe he may have travelled to the Prestwick area.

Ethan is described as white, around 6ft 2, of medium build with short brown hair and is clean shaven.

When last seen he was wearing a dark coloured hoodie with a Burberry brown check pattern in the hood, dark jeans, bright coloured socks, all black Converse trainers and possibly a dark baseball cap. He was carrying a dark rucksack.

Inspector John O’Neill, Coatbridge Police Office, said: “As time passes Ethan’s family are growing increasingly concerned for him, it is completely out of character for him to not be in contact. Officers have been talking to his family and friends, as well as working with transport companies to try and trace him to make sure he is safe and well.

“We would ask anyone who has seen Ethan, or knows of his whereabouts to get in touch with us.

“We would also ask Ethan himself to get in touch with either police or his family – we all just want to make sure you are safe and well.”

Anyone with information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 3871 of Monday 12 November 2018.
