Man and woman charged with murder after remains found in Montrose
39 year old Steven Jackson and 28 year old Michelle Higgins made no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody
A man and woman have appeared in court charged with murder after the discovery of a woman's body parts in Montrose.
Steven Jackson, 39, and Michelle Higgins, 28, both of Montrose, made no plea or declaration as they appeared in private at Forfar Sheriff Court.
They were remanded in custody and the case was continued.
It's alleged they used a hammer and a knife to kill 37 year old Kim MacKenzie, who is from the Angus town, some time between October 26th and November 4th.
Police discovered human remains in a flat in the town last Wednesday.
