Man to stand trial accused of murder in Galston
William Nimmo is charged with murdering Robert Stewart Clelland, and attempting to defeat the ends of justice
A man is to go on trial charged with murdering his neighbour in Galston.
William Nimmo is accused of attacking 56-year-old Robert Clelland – also known as Stewart – at a house in the village in July 2019.
The 34 year-old also faces a charge of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
He denies the accusations.
On Friday Lord Matthews set a trial at the High Court in Glasgow which is set to begin in November.
The case could last around six days.
