Man robbed in his own home in Ayr

An appeal has been re-issued following the robbery of a 36 year-old man in his own home.

It happened on James Brown Avenue in Ayr at around 9pm on October 23rd.

Two men and a woman went to the victim’s house and demanded money from him - he was unhurt but the thieves made off with a three figure sum of money.

Police are urging witnesses to come forward.

Detective Constable Karen Smith from Ayr Police Office is appealing for anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation to come forward.

She said: “I would ask anyone who has information about this crime or saw anyone acting suspiciously in or around the area at the time of the incident to contact police.

“Any information can be passed to Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via CRIMESTOPPERS who can be contacted on 0800 555 111.”
