Man appears in court charged with Kilmarnock death

A man has appeared in court charged with killing a young man found dead after an incident outside a nightclub.

The body of 21-year-old Robert Fleming was discovered at his home in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, on Sunday February 7.

Police said he had earlier been involved in an altercation outside the town's Bakers nightclub.

Scott Morrison, 27, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court charged with culpable homicide.

Morrison, from the town, made no plea or declaration during the hearing, the Crown Office confirmed.

He was released on bail and the case was committed for further examination.
