Locals Asked To Design Leisure Centre Logo

Published 28th Sep 2015

Children and adults who live or work in the Girvan and South Carrick area have the chance to win a year’s free membership for the new £5 million Girvan and South Carrick leisure and community facility.

The new facility – which is planned to open at Girvan Harbour in 2016/17 – will make a big difference for local people and visitors, with a swimming pool, soft play area, gym, studio and café providing lots of fun for families and friends.

As well as naming the facility and telling us why you think that’s the best name, we want you to design the logo that will be used alongside your suggested name. Designs can be ‘rough’ sketches or drawings.

All entries must be original designs and suggestions and a judging panel – made up of representatives from SCCL and South Ayrshire Council – will select a shortlist of entries.

Shortlisted entrants will then get the opportunity to work with a professional graphic designer to finalise their idea.

The winner will receive a year’s free membership at the new Girvan and South Carrick leisure and community facility.

All entries must be received by 5pm on Friday 9 October 2015.
