People look at me and think I'm ok - they do not understand what's going on beneath the surface.

That from Kilmarnock woman Louise Wilson – she has got multiple sclerosis and is speaking out for the first time about her condition.

The 37 year-old was diagnosed with MS in 2011 and has had several flare-ups that have left her unable to walk for very long or use her hand to write - she says people don't understand because it can be a hidden illness.

She spoke to our reporter Gary Armstrong…

It is MS awareness week and it is estimated around 11,000 people are living with the condition in Scotland.

The MS Society are petitioning Scottish Election candidates to pledge their support.
