Kilmarnock teenager reveals the impact of her mum's drug addiction

18 year-old Chloe shares her experience to encourage other families in Ayrshire to seek help.

A teenager from Kilmarnock is opening up about her childhood and growing up knowing her mum was battling drug addiction.

Chloe, 18, was kinship cared for from a young age as her mum struggled with heroin.

But Chloe is not alone.

There are claims hundreds of families are left devastated by drug addiction every day and that there is little support available in Ayrshire.

One group hoping to change that is Someone Else's Addiction in Kilmarnock, offering help and advice exclusively for the families of drug addicts.
