Kilmarnock man dies after holiday park 'altercation'

An Ayrshire man, left critically injured after a fight at a holiday park in Silloth in the early hours of Saturday morning, has died.

A Kilmarnock man, left critically injured after a fight at a holiday park in Silloth in the early hours of Saturday morning, has died.

Police were called to Stanwix Park Holiday Centre after a fight in a bar involving a number of people - between 1:45am and 2:45am.

A 47-year old local man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent - he was questioned and released on bail.

Another 47-year-old man from Kilmarnock, named locally as Robert Gordon, was taken to Cumberland Infirmary with life-threatening injuries but died yesterday.
