Police officers searching for missing person Andrew Linton have released a picture to help in their efforts to find him.

Andrew, 43, was last seen in the Corsehill area of Kilwinning around 5.35am on Wednesday, 22 February 2023.

He is described as white, around 5 ft 6 in height, of stocky build and speaks with a local Ayrshire accent. He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, a light-coloured beanie hat, black trousers and black boots. It’s thought he may also have on a grey hooded jumper and carrying a large red rucksack with black lace crisscrossed on the front.

Inspector Alex Beagrie, of Irvine Police Station, said: “Andrew has been missing now for two days, and for him to leave his home and family without letting them know where he is or getting in touch is not like him at all and is concerning.

“Officers have been checking CCTV from the local area and in the town centre but so far there have been no further sightings of him.

“Local bus and taxi companies have been alerted, as have our colleagues at British Transport Police. We also have officers, including specialist search teams, searching for him.

“If you have seen Andrew, or have any information about where he is, then please get in touch with police as soon as you can.”

Information can be passed to Police Scotland via 101, quoting reference number 0514 of Wednesday, 22 February 2023.
