Investigation launched after robbery in Ayr

Officers say the incident happened on Saturday afternoon in Fenwickland Avenue

Police in Ayr are appealing for information from the public as they investigate a robbery that took place on Saturday afternoon (19th March).

Officers say the incident happened at around 2:40pm in Fenwickland Avenue, when four men entered two addresses and demanded property.

The men left the area with a two-figure sum of cash and jewellery.

Police say the suspects are all described as wearing dark–coloured clothing. They all wore their hoods up and had their faces covered.

Detective Constable Stuart McCulloch, from Ayr Police Station said: “We’re appealing to anyone who was in the Fenwickland Avenue area around 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon who witnessed anything suspicious to please come forward."
