How to access Online school work via games consoles

Children across the country are returning to online learning, but here's how you can utilise consoles such as an Xbox Or Playstation to access school work.

Kitchen tables across the nation will be covered in laptops and school books from today as schools return to online learning.

For some families though they may not have enough computers to go around, or they might experience the dreaded 'tech issues'.

But many homes will have a games console, maybe even multiple - and many of them have the capabilities of accessing school work from their built in browsers.

You can also plug in USB keyboard to consoles like an Xbox or Playstation.

Here's how to access Glow from most Playstation or Xbox devices.

For Xbox Users:

  1. Launch 'Microsoft Edge' from the Apps section, if it's not already there it can be downloaded from the store for free.
  1. Enter this URL: https://glow.rmunify.com
  1. Enter the pupils username, followed by '@glow.sch.uk'

4.Enter the accounts Password

  1. You can chose to save these to the browser for easier access next time, should you wish.

For Playstation Users:

  1. Go to Library, then applications, then web browser.
  1. Enter the URL https:glow.rmunify.com
  1. Enter the pupils username, followed by '@glow.sch.uk'

You can also use this method to access the likes of Microsoft Teams or various other platforms that schools use for their lessons.
