If you and your four legged friend are looking for somewhere dog friendly and picturesque to explore then here are a few of our recommendations!

Eglinton Park Not only a great park for the dog as it's full of paths and bridleways but Eglinton Country Park near Irvine looks amazing no matter what the season!

This amazing video by Colin Henning shows off Eglinton Park in full.

Auchincruive Just outside Ayr and not far from Prestwick, Auchincruive is a gorgeous spot for you and your four legged friend. A combination of woodland and riverside trails make it a popular one for mountain bikers and runners too.

Failford Gorge There’s a number of different routes you can follow here with distances up to 6 miles along the route of the River Ayr. It's great for letting your dog off the lead and letting them have a sniff… and there’s a dog friendly pub nearby too!

Belleisle Park A great place to while away an hour or two with the dog in Ayr. With big grassy areas (take a frisbee) your dog will love it and there's loads for the kids too!

Rozelle Park The Rozelle Estate is a 37 hectare site on the south side of Ayr, which plays host to a number of events throughout the year including the Ayr Flower Show and the Holy Fair. It’s a haven for dog walkers with huge open spaces to let your dog run free and picturesque trails to follow too.

Hollybush House A circular route starting out at Hollybush House just outside Ayr. This is a stunning walk which has been something of a local secret until now. The paths are well maintained although there are one or two steep hills which will blow the cobwebs away for you and your faithful companion!
