Here's just a few of the stories that made us smile:
The Beatles “The Beatles came to my town in 1963 as part of their very first tour. I had seen them on Thank Your Lucky Stars on tv and knew they would be the love of my life. I was 12. Saved up my pocket money to buy a ticket which cost 17/6. All I remember from the gig was the screaming of the audience. The Beatles Caird Hall Dundee 1963. Legend.” – Jill
Arctic Monkeys “The first time I saw Arctic Monkeys, 16/04/07 in Newcastle, this was the gig that made me fall in love with live music. I can still remember how excited my best friend and I were! The gig was for fan club members only and being in such a small intimate venue meant the atmosphere was immense. They closed the set with my all time favourite song: A Certain Romance and I swear Alex Turner made eye contact. We went into sixth form the next day proudly wearing our tour t-shirts and enjoying the jealous glares from our classmates.” – Chelsea
Boyzone “Boyzone. Wembley Arena. 9 years old. Yes I cried (along with every other 9 year old girl there). Yes I wanted to marry Stephen. Yes I still know all the words to all their songs. No, I’m not ashamed! Boyzone4life” – Francesca
Cher “My first gig experience was Cher’s Living Proof – The Farewell Tour in either Manchester or Newcastle. I was with a group of friends from work and we were like giggling school girls. I was totally mesmerised from first entering the arena until getting back on the coach to come home. I remember not wanting to move out of my seat (even during the intervals) for fear of missing something. The sound of music just hit you in the chest and my eyes were darting all around the stage trying to take everything in.” – Debbie
Lady GaGa “My first gig was Lady Gaga The Monster Ball Tour. I remember not knowing what to expect, being so full of excitement that I could have wet myself, literally bouncing off every wall on the lead up to the gig itself. When the day came, it was better than expected. No feeling in the world can compare to the buzz you get when the curtain drops and the live music begins. We were lucky enough to be invited onto her tour bus afterwards too for a quick photo and chat. I’ll never forget this day as long as I live.” – Martin
Michael Buble “My first gig…I was floor seating at Michael Buble with my 75 year old Nana (a huge MB fan). On our row was a group of 7 old ladies. After about 8 songs MB decides to walk down the side of our row and begins shaking hands of those at the ends of each row. He approached our row, I climbed over the seats of the old ladies (who were stood up) I ran to the end of the row and fell flat on my face. I was picked up by a body guard and Michael Buble shook my hand!” – Holly
