Fans campaign for memorial for Kilmarnock author
Hundreds of fans of Kilmarnock born William McIlvanney have come together on social media to remember the late author.
A has been set up by 31 year-old Kieran Kelly, who is also from the town, in the hope of setting up a permanent memorial to the writer who died at the start of the month.
So far, it has more than 1200 'likes', with people from all over the world sharing their ideas on how best to celebrate the poet and novelist.
His funeral takes place in private at Glasgow University Memorial Chapel on Wednesday.
