Kilmarnock manager Lee Clark has made a double signing in a bid to get the club out of relegation trouble.

Clark has signed powerful defender Miles Addison and former Ipswich winger Alex Henshall, both of whom played under the Killie manager during loan spells at Blackpool last season.

Henshall left Ipswich on transfer deadline day after failing to make an appearance this season. The 22-year-old was previously in the Manchester City youth set-up and had loan spells with Bristol Rovers and Chesterfield, as well as Ipswich.

Addison has only made three appearances this season, in a short-term spell at Peterborough. The 27-year-old former Derby centre-back, who can also play in midfield, made 36 appearances for Bournemouth before leaving the Barclays Premier League club last year. He previously had loan spells with Rotherham, Scunthorpe before his stint at Blackpool.

The deals were announced on the club website, and the pair could make their debuts when Killie face Partick Thistle at Firhill on Saturday as they bid to claw back a five-point deficit and get out of the relegation play-off spot.
