Dementia dogs visit Ayrshire College for awareness drive

Alzheimer's Scotland Dementia Awareness Week takes place between Monday 30th May and Sunday 5th June.

To mark the week, Dementia Dogs is visiting Ayrshire College campuses across the region.

Alzheimer Scotland along with partner organizations Dogs for Good have been exploring and piloting a number of schemes utilizing specially trained dogs to work with those living with dementia. The Dementia Dog Project builds services for people with Dementia that brings dogs back into their lives or supports them to continue their relationship with dogs.
