Pupils at Cumnock Academy have been evacuated from school and sent home for the day after a bomb threat was called in there this morning.

Police and emergency services are on site but the threat isn't thought to be credible.

It is the latest in a sting of hoax calls to schools across the country.

Police Scotland and other emergency services are in attendance.

Pupils who are undertaking exams today will continue under SQA conditions in an alternative location.

Parents have been notified and updates will be provided throughout the day on the Council’s website.
