A search is underway for a woman who has disappeared from Ayr Hospital.

Deborah Christie, 55, was reported missing after she was last seen around 10.20am on Wednesday 8th August.

Chief Inspector Gary I’Anson, Ayr police Office, said: “Deborah has been dealing with some personal issues lately and therefore we are growing increasingly concerned for her as time passes.

“She has been known to sleep rough in the past, particularly in wooded areas and golf courses and we encourage golfers, dog walkers and cyclists to be vigilant for someone who looks as though they could be living outdoors.

“Officers have been checking CCTV as well as speaking to those in the local area in efforts to trace her.

“We are urging anyone who knows of Deborah’s whereabouts or has seen someone matching her description to come forward and contact us.

“Deborah, we also ask that you let us know you are okay.”

Deborah was last seen wearing grey trousers, a pink top and a white cardigan. She also has a walking stick.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 1397 of Wednesday 8 August 2018.
