Community Group May Fold If New Board Not Found

It's could be the end of the road for the Ayrshire Litter Volunteer Network.

They've been encouraging people across Ayrshire to adopt a street to clear it of rubbish and have a team of over 250 volunteers.

But, both board members are giving up their positions and if they don't find replacements at the annual general meeting next month, the organisation will close.

Founder David Pugh said: "It's gutting, I've put two years into this and at first a lot of people wouldn't get on board but I just thought no, this is the way. We are looking for someone young with skills in IT, PR and communications to come in and really take the group to the next phase."
