A terminally ill Ayrshire man and his wife are seeking urgent help to plan their perfect vow renewal ceremony.

They need donations urgently ahead of the big day on Friday, as the man from Kilmarnock, who's battling cancer, doesn't have long left to live.

The couple, who have been married for 20 years, want to remember the happy times they've had together and celebrate their committment with their family and friends, particularly their children who weren't present at their wedding.

They've sought help from Gift of a Wedding, a charity who helps provide ceremonies for people who are terminally ill or are suffering from a life shortening illness.

We spoke to the charity founder, Patricia Harrison, who says although donations have been flooding in - a lot of help is still needed to give the couple their perfect day.

They need the services of a local wedding planner, videographer, florist, bagpiper and caterer. They also require a wedding cake, balloons and wedding favours.

If you think you can help, then contact Gift of A Wedding on their Facebook and Twitter pages or email them at icanhelp@giftofawedding.org.
