Police are seeking two people who were wearing gloves and shoe covers at the time a premises in Ayr was robbed.

The break-in happened in the early hours of Sunday 23rd June on Belmont Road with cash, cigarettes and tobacco stolen.

Officers describe the two people sought as being of medium build and having their heads and faces covered near to the time of the theft.

Detective Constable Kevin Simpson, Ayr Police Office, said: “I’m appealing to anyone who was in the Belmont Road area in the early hours of Sunday morning, and thinks they may have seen something which could help our investigation, to come forward.

“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw a vehicle acting suspiciously or two people in the area carrying items that looked suspicious between 3am to 5am.

“Drivers with dashcams, please review your footage and bring anything you think may be important to our attention.”
