Police have released an image of a man connected to an 'incident' in Turners Brig Underpass

Police in South Ayrshire have released an image of a man connected to an incident in the town centre of Ayr earlier this year.

Officers hope the man can be traced and believe he can assist them in solving their inquires of the incident that occurred in January this year.

They say they’re conducting an ‘ongoing investigation’ after it took place in an underpass between Blackriars Walk and Content Street, Ayr in the early hours of the morning.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: “South Ayrshire Police are releasing an image of a man they believe can assist with an ongoing investigation into an incident in Ayr, which occurred around 2.10am on Monday, 30 January, 2023 in Turners Brig underpass, between Blackfriars Walk and Content Street, Ayr.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1770 of 31 January, 2023. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be called on 0800 555 111, where information can be given anonymously.”
