Investigation launched after Ardrossan man seriously assaulted

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 43-year-old man was seriously assaulted in Winton Street, Ardrossan.

A man has been taken to hospital after being seriously assaulted in Ardrossan.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident on Friday 25 November which seen a 43-year-old man taken to hospital.

It occurred around 10:15pm on Winton Street, Ardrossan, near the junction with Glasgow Street.

The victim was taken to University Hospital Crosshouse and later released following treatment.

Police are now looking to speak with witnesses or anyone from around the area that night.

Detective Constable Lorna Kerr said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or who has dash-cam footage of the area at the time, to contact police.

“Please call Saltcoats CID via 101, quoting reference 3856 of 25 November, 2022. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
