There is an appeal for witnesses in Largs after a 27 year-old woman was assaulted in the street on Friday night.

There is an appeal for witnesses in Largs after a 27 year-old woman was assaulted in the street on Friday night.

The woman did not require medical attention after the attack on Mackerston Place aroudn 1.30am.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his 40's, facial stubble, Scottish accent, wearing a brown leather jacket, black t-shirt and light coloured jeans.

DS Stobie from Kilmarnock Police Office is appealing to anyone who witnessed this assault, or who saw a man matching this description in the local area around the time of the incident to come forward.
