Staff and pupils at Forehill Primary in Ayr are appealing for help to make a film marking the school’s 50th anniversary.

The building was opened in 1967 but underwent a £6m modernisation project between 2009 and 2013.

To mark the 50th birthday, Primary 6 pupils are working with a number of production companies to create a film that they hope will tell the story of the school’s history.

They are currently appealing for any information to help paint the picture including photographs, news articles or any other memories past pupils or staff may have.

Primary 6 teacher Laura Reilly said, “All members of our community work together as a team to provide a stimulating and engaging learning experience for our young people.

“We are hoping to reach out to as many people as possible who may be able to help us gather information."

Anyone able to contribute should email forehill.mail@south-ayrshire.gov.uk.

A whole range of other anniversary events are planned including a ceilidh on the 23rd of March 2018 and an open day on the 1st of May 2018.
