Appeal Following Serious A77 Crash

An appeal for witnesses has been launched following a serious road crash in South Ayrshire on Sunday 30 August 2015.

Around 3.30pm, a white Vauxhall Corsa was driving north on the A77 towards Holmston roundabout when the car appeared to cross the carriageway and collide with a silver Citroen car.

Emergency services attended and a 73 year old man and a 71 year old woman, both travelling in the Vauxhall Corsa, were taken to Ayr Hospital.

The driver of the Citroen C8 was also taken to hospital and was released following treatment.

Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances of the collision and officers from Road Policing are appealing for any witnesses or information regarding the incident.
