Death in Ayr
Police are investigating the death of a 47 year-old man in Ayr on Sunday.
He was found injured on Walker Road at around 12.40pm but died shortly after an ambulance had taken him to Ayr Hospital.
Detective Sergeant Craig Semple said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this death. A post mortem examination will be held in due course, however meantime the death is being treated as unexplained.
“A number of people went to assist the injured man on Walker Road, Ayr and I would ask anyone who assisted who has not yet spoken to police to please contact officers.
“Anyone with information that may assist our ongoing enquiries is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 2161 of 25 October.”
