Oh, the early Noughties. A bygone era when eyebrows were scarily thin, jeans dangerously low-rise and a time before social media had turned us all into news feed scrolling, selfie-obsessed zombies. Simpler times.

And the TV was pretty good, too. One of our personal favourites was Footballers' Wives, which followed the lives of a fictional Premier League football club Earls Park F.C and their glamorous WAGs.

Footballers' Wives aired from January 2002 to April 2006, when it was cancelled after suffering a fall in ratings. However, former cast member Gary Lucy has now confirmed there have been talks about bringing the epic series back for a revival.

Gary, who played football pro Kyle Pascoe, revealed a comeback could be on the cards in the future, saying, "It was a fantastic time in my life."

He added, "I was 21-years-old, I was living the dream at the time and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

"There has been loads of talk about it but would I go back? I'd absolutely love to revisit that at some point but who knows what the future brings."

Zoe Lucker (Tanya Turner) then

Oh, how we longed to be as sassy and self-aware as Tanya Turner back in the day. She was just QUEEN of the WAGs, wasn't she?

This comes as two of Gary's cast mates, Zoe Lucker who played the epic Tanya Turner and Laila Rouass who's character Amber Gates was Tanya's rival, hinted at a revival when they appeared on Loose Women together.

Discussing some of the show's more out there storylines, Zoe revealed her favourite was one which involved Tanya switching her baby for Amber's when both characters gave birth to boys at the same time.

"I always loved the baby swap it was so inappropriate," she explained.

"I said I wanted your baby, and then I put fake tan on her baby after stealing it and swapping it, and then unfortunately, my real baby got squished by my pug."
