She's been a popstar in her home country for nine years and broke into the UK charts last year, but in a recent interview Zara Larsson revealed she suffers from sleep paralysis.

Talking about the condition that causes people to be temporarily paralysed when they wake up, Zara explained what it feels like.

"Oh my God, it's scary! Basically, you wake up and you literally cannot move. Your brain is active, but your body is not yet awake," she said.

Although it only lasts a minute or so, she admitted, "it kind of feels like you're trapped there for half an hour".

The condition, which is thought to affect most people at least once or twice in their lifetime, happens when Zara gets stressed or is very busy. The 'Lush Life' singer explained there is an upside to it though saying,

"It's like a wave comes over me. Energy is just vibrating through your body and it's awesome."
