X Factor winner Sam Bailey and runner-up Nicholas McDonald have announced details of their debut albums!

Both striking while the iron is hot, the albums will be released within two weeks of each other just three months after The X Factor final.

Freshly signed to RCA Records, Nicholas is first up on 10th March with his first collection ‘Arms of an Angel’.

The album boasts three brand new songs plus covers of Bruno Mars's 'Just The Way You Are', Adele's 'Someone Like You', Westlife's 'Flying Without Wings' and more.

The North Lanarkshire teenager enthused: "It feels absolutely amazing to be recording my own album and I can't wait to get it out there and give something back to all the fans who have supported me from the very start."

Two weeks later on Monday 24th March, Sam Bailey will dispatch her debut ‘The Power Of Love’ through Simon Cowell’s Syco Records.

Set to feature a mix of yet-to-be-unveiled cover versions and brand new tracks, the announcement comes two days after Sam wowed the National Television Awards with a stunning version of the title track.

In releasing the album so swiftly, Sam will be bucking the trend of the previous seven X Factor winners (James Arthur, Little Mix, Matt Cardle, Joe McElderry, Alexandra Burke, Leon Jackson and Leona Lewis) who all took between 10 and 11 months to release their debut record.

Sam’s X Factor winner’s single, her cover of Demi Lovato’s ‘Skyscraper’, stormed to number one in the UK in December and has sold over 200,000 copies.
