Bruno Mars's Super Bowl Show Is Most Watched Ever

Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ halftime show was the most-watched performance in the history of the Super Bowl.

Citing Nielson data, Fox television have revealed that an incredible 115.3million people watched the show – trumping the 114million record set by Madonna two years ago.

Last year Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child attracted a US audience of 110.8million.

Bruno’s performance saw him open with a thunderous drum solo before launching into hits ‘Locked Out Of Heaven’, ‘Treasure’ and ‘Runaway Baby’.

Five songs in, Bruno was joined by rock gods Red Hot Chili Peppers for a duet on their hit ‘Give It Away’ before ending poignantly on ‘Just The Way You Are’.

Since wowing the American public, Bruno Mars’ 2010 debut album ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ has climbed to no.3 on the iTunes chart and last year’s ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ is up to no.9.

Bruno Mars joins the likes of The Black Eyed Peas, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Shania Twain and Britney Spears who have also rocked the Super Bowl halftime show this Millennium

In the 48th Super Bowl game itself, Seattle Seahawks hammered the Denver Broncos 43- 8.
