Bringing together royalty with pop royalty, a very unusual FaceTime call took place recently.

In a video released earlier today, Prince William can be seen FaceTiming from his home in London, to Lady Gaga in her home in Los Angeles.

Sipping a hot drink in her kitchen the 31-year-old singer opens up to Prince William as part of the Heads Together #OKtosay film series.

The pair discuss mental health and the issues surrounding it as Lady Gaga explains,

"In my life I go, 'oh my goodness, look at all these beautiful, wonderful things I have' and 'I should be so happy', but you can't help it if in the morning when you wake up and in the morning, you are so tired and you are so sad, and so full of anxiety."

Last year Lady Gaga revealed in an open letter that she suffers from PTSD, something which is normally associated with the armed forces, as she explained in the letter,

'I pledge not only to help our youth not feel ashamed of their own conditions, but also to lend support to those servicemen and women who suffer from PTSD. No one’s invisible pain should go unnoticed.'

During their conversation Prince William and Lady Gaga also discussed how important it was to open up and talk about mental health, as it affects everyone.

"We shouldn't be ashamed of it mental health" said Prince William, "just having a conversation with a friend or family member can really make such a difference."

The 'Born This Way' singer agreed, "Even though it was hard, the best thing that could come from my mental illness was to share it with other people."
