Toyah Battersby to return to Coronation Street
It's been 13 years since she was on the show.
After 13 years away from the show Georgia Taylor will be reprising her role of Toyah Battersby.
In 2003 she left the show following the dramatic storyline of her friend Maria getting pregnant by her boyfriend, however she has been mentioned regularly throughout the years since she last appeared on the soap.
Although the exact storyline that brings Toyah back to Weatherfield is unknown all will be revealed on ITV at Christmas. However the sisters have a lot to catch up on now that Leanne Battersby is pregnant.

Georgia will start filming her scenes next month and has spoken about the opportunity to return to the soap saying, "I am thrilled to be re-joining my old friends on the cobbles and hugely excited to be given the opportunity to explore the character of Toyah 13 years on.
"Coronation Street has always had a place in my heart."
Since leaving Coronation Street in 2003 Georgia has had a lot of success in TV dramas including Casualty and Law & Order: UK.
