TOWIE viewers left confused at Chris’ phone mistake on season finale
Viewers tweeted their confusion
Eagle-eyed The Only Way Is Essex viewers were left confused at the episode last night (Wednesday 9th November) when an embarrassing mistake became the highlight of the show.
If you’re a fan of the show and have been keeping up to date with the current series, you will be aware that Chris Clark is going through a not so pleasant break-up with Amber Dowding and on last night's season finale things got very heated.
The pair along with the rest of the cast attended Chloe Sim’s very glamorous 35th birthday party but it soon turned sour with Amber telling Chris, “If you can’t watch my social media, take me off it!” Jon later told his brother to “Move the f*** on because she’s a no gooder and you deserve better.”
Everything seemed to be going off in perfect TOWIE style until one particular scene aired...
As Chris decided to delete Amber’s number from his phone, eagled-eyed viewers spotted he actually deleted her number from his ‘recent calls’ log and not his actually contacts! (Oh dear!)

Viewers of the show took to Twitter to express their humour and confusion at the scene.
This isn’t the first time the show has made a mistake involving a phone. At the start of the year viewers noticed an extra to be on her phone, only for it to be upside down. The phone in question was covered in an ‘I heart Essex’ case, giving away that the girl probably wasn’t really on the phone.

Despite its controversy, TOWIE is now on to its 19th series after first airing back in 2010.
The show is expected to return to ITVBe early 2017.
