The Royal Family have today announced that Princess Eugenie is expecting her first baby! The 30-year-old, who tied the knot with her wine merchant husband Jack Brooksbank in 2018, has confirmed that they will be welcoming a baby next year.
A post reads from The Royal Family, '👶 Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021. The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news.'
Eugenie also shared the news on her own Instagram, posting an adorable photo of some baby slippers in the shape of a teddy bear and the caption, 'Jack and I are so excited for early 2021....👶🏻 '
The couple announced their engagement in January 2018, after Jack popped the question whilst they were on holiday in Nicaragua - apparently taking Eugenie by surprise, and revealing that her grandmother the Queen was one of the first to know.
In her engagement interview, Eugenie said, "Granny actually knew right at the beginning, she was one of the very few people at the beginning, we left her this weekend and had a lovely time and she was very happy, as was my grandfather."

The lovely news for the family follows Beatrice's wedding earlier this year, where she tied the knot with property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July 2020 after it was postponed from May due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
