Niall Horan snubs Simon Cowell as he signs new solo deal

Niall is the latest to go solo

Niall Horan is the latest One Direction member to sign a big solo deal, but the Irish favourite has seemingly snubbed his former boss Simon Cowell.

Despite Simon owning Syco, Niall has reportedly signed a shiny new deal with their rivals, Universal Music, and according to reports Mr Cowell isn’t happy about it.

A source close to the music mogul said “This will come as a real blow to Simon Cowell who has been talking to Niall for months, wanting him to sign a deal with his label Syco. He made a number of big money offers to try and persuade Niall to sign up but, in the end, Universal came in and put even more money on the table. They’re chuffed to have got one over on Cowell and have taken one of 1D."

Just last month The X Factor judge teased fans about an ‘announcement’ regarding Niall. He told a national newspaper that Niall is the ‘most loyal’ and that the star is set to announce something with him ‘very soon’.

Despite seemingly snubbing Simon, it seems Niall’s fans are over the moon with the news. Upon hearing the deal, fans started #WeAreReadyForSoloNiall trending on Twitter and tweeted their excitement.

Niall follows in the footsteps of his former bandmates Liam Payne and Harry Styles, who have also announced solo deals in the last few months.

Liam sent fans into meltdown back in July when he took to Instagram to share the news that he had signed a solo deal with Capitol Records UK. He wrote ‘'I’m really happy to have signed to such a prestigious label as Capitol Records UK. Capitol Records has an amazing history stretching right back before even Frank Sinatra and I'm really looking forward to becoming part of their story. One Direction will always be my family, I'm now excited to show what I can do as a solo artist."

We can’t wait to hear them all!
