The star hit back at rumours

Actress Lisa Riley has slammed sceptics who’ve accused her of using a slimming aid to lose six stone.

A Twitter user shared a quote, claiming to be from the star, which says she lost weight through a diet supplement called Raspberry Ketone.

However the former Emmerdale star hit back, claiming someone is trying to make money by using her celebrity status.

Instead the 39-year-old insisted her weight loss has been down to ‘hard work’.

The star showed off her new figure in February, saying that she was ‘flying high on life’.

She told Bella magazine that she was motivated to lose weight after seeing her parents become ill: "Losing my mum then seeing my dad wired up and nearly losing him and becoming an orphan was a shock to my system.

The 39-year-old played Mandy Dingle on the soap opera for six and a half years but left in 2001 and the star has declined attempts to re-introduce the character to the show.

She also succeeded Jeremy Beadle in hosting You’ve Been Framed until 2003.
