Katie price backs anti-bullying campaign after son Harvey was targeted

It calls for compulsory lessons around online bullying in all schools

TV personality and Loose Women star Katie Price has backed our sister station Metro Radio's anti-bullying campaign, #SticksandStones.

The new campaign has been set up to urge compulsory lessons around online bullying in all schools. and after her disabled son Harvey is targeted by online bullies every day, Katie was eager to get involved.

Harvey, who suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome as well as autism and septo-optic dysplasia, has experienced awful online abuse in his 14-years and mum Katie has often tried to take matters into her own hands to defend her son.

There are thousands of victims across the country being taunted 24/7 through mobiles, laptops and tablets.

Already we've heard from teenagers and parents but Katie has become latest celebrity to join #SticksandStones after telling us about her son's horrendous online abuse.

Speaking to our sister station Metro Radio, Katie said "When it comes to Harvey, I've had so many disgusting things said about it, they don't do it to any of my other children. I've had people arrested but they don't know what to do with them."

Katie then went on to add what punishments should be brought in to prevent online bullying.

As well as education around online bullying, Katie thinks it should go even further. She’s campaigning for it to be made a criminal offence.
