It was one of the strangest romances of 2017 when Made In Chelsea star Stephanie Pratt announced she was dating Love Island bad boy Jonny Mitchell, but now it looks like their short lived fairy-tale is over.

With a national newspaper reporting the reality stars ended their relationship after a furious row, a statement to OK! Online released by Jonny's people confirmed the news.

It read, "Jonny Mitchell and Stephanie Pratt have ended their relationship.

"Jonny has fond memories of the times they spent together and wishes Stephanie all the best of luck in the future."

The split comes after fans were left worried for American Stephanie after she posted a video of herself in tears on social media.

Taking to her Instagram story, Stephanie looked visibly upset as her dark eye make up smudged on her face. Fans believed she was crying over Jonny after she captioned the video with, 'Make up by jm', seemingly referencing Jonny Mitchell.

After a number of online trolls criticised the former star of The Hills for uploading the video, Stephanie hit back by writing, 'Hi strangers, just need to apologise for posting a photo of myself crying, since none of you know what my life is like.' sic

Stephanie and Jonny first started dating back in August, after Jonny found fame on ITV2 dating show Love Island. Jonny became an instant villain on the show after he dumped Camilla Thurlow, who quickly became a fan favourite.

The pair confirmed their romance when they both posted loved up snaps on a holiday to Bali together.

After a number of people called their relationship fake, the couple decided to hit back at their critics, with Jonny posting a long message on Instagram.

Sharing a photo of himself kissing Stephanie on the cheek during their trip to Bali, he wrote, 'I really can't wait to prove everyone wrong... This girl is one of the kindest, sweetest, most genuine people I've ever met and it sucks that she's having to take s--- off some people because of dating me, down to some disillusioned idiots that think they know me because of watching 10 minutes a day of me on a highly edited TV show for 5 weeks.'

He continued, 'It's all never really bothered me, and I found it all pretty funny in general because I've always thought that anyone dumb enough to believe everything they see on reality tv, Doesn't have an opinion worth worrying about, but when it starts to affect other people I care about then it's obvious that it's gone too far. So, my point being.. If you're really the kind of person who has to hate on a stranger, then it's your own life you should be worrying about. not mine. Rant over. Ciao 👋' sic

Stephanie then took to Twitter to write, 'Wow everyone needs to chill - it's an edited show... think I would actually be with someone who's not an absolute gentleman to me 😐'. sic

But now it looks like it's all over!
