Our very own Friday evening presenter George Bowie has recorded an incredible version of David Bowie's 'Heroes' to raise money for NHS workers and carers across Scotland.

Speaking about the inspiration for the track, George told us that it's "a salute to all the heroes out there on the front line".

George said, “This was originally my wife’s idea. We made the song months ago – myself and Sparkos – and it was a banging dance tune. We stripped it back, got Stephanie Cheape on the vocal and it all came together brilliantly.

"It feels like the perfect song to capture the atmosphere of the moment. It’s a salute to all the heroes out there on the front line no matter what you do – we appreciate it. Plus, if we can raise some money to help then that’s an added bonus”
